Eric Janec

Eric is the Education Commons Librarian and liaison to the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics program. He joined the Penn Libraries in 2012 with the opening of the Education Commons, and oversees its daily operations. The Commons has hosted events such as the PennApps hackathon, and regularly provides an array of tutoring and instructional services. Eric has implemented and directs the 3D printing service at the Education Commons, which is designed to introduce newcomers to 3D printing.

As liaison to PPE, Eric provides consultation and research assistance to majors and graduate students in the program. Eric holds a BA and MA in Philosophy from Penn and an MS in Library Science from Drexel University.
