Laurie has been at Penn since 2002. As Social Sciences Data
Services Librarian, Laurie helps researchers from across the University to
identify and access quantitative data sets in the Social Sciences, including
U.S. Census information and other government and academic statistics. Laurie
is a native Philadelphian, and a graduate of Central High School, and her
interest in the city comes in handy when she is working with faculty and students in
Urban Studies. She also works with researchers who teach and take classes in
Women's Studies, and she manages the library's collection in Criminology. Laurie
earned a BA in Philosophy from Bard College in 1999, and a MS in Library and
Information Science from Simmons Graduate School in 2002.
