Nicholas Okrent
Nick works closely with the Departments of Africana Studies, History, Philosophy, Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Urban Studies, and the Program in Asian American Studies; he provides library instruction, develops the Libraries' collections in U.S. History, Africana Studies, and Philosophy, and maintains the Africana Resources Seminar Room on Van Pelt's 3rd floor. Nick holds a BA in Philosophy from Haverford College, an MA and M.Phil. in Philosophy from Columbia University, and an MS in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He has published articles on the metaphysics of Spinoza, Leibniz and Descartes.
