Introduction
The INSPEC and COMPENDEX databases are both searchable from the same interface, and you can search the databases individually or in combination. INSPEC and COMPENDEX both cover scientific and technical journals, conference proceedings, reports, dissertations and books.

Getting Started
To access INSPEC or COMPENDEX, click here for INSPEC, click here for COMPENDEX, or go to the Science and Engineering Libraries page at: http://www.library.upenn.edu/scitech and type the name of either INSPEC or COMPENDEX into the FindIt box in the top left hand corner of the screen.
