RefWorks Write-N-Cite Utility

Write-N-Cite, a downloadable RefWorks utility, allows you to add references to a Word manuscript from your RefWorks account. Depending on your platform and version of Word, download the most appropriate version of Write-n-Cite. Installation instructions are also available on the Write-N-Cite download page.

Off Campus use of Write-N-Cite

Follow the instructions found on the link labeled, "Information on working with Write-N-Cite." These help pages are accessible on the same Write-N-Cite download page. The instructions will ask you to add the Penn Library Proxy server address to the program's preferences. Below is the text you will need to add:

https://proxy.library.upenn.edu/login?url=https://www.refworks.com/Refworks/?WNC=true

When you launch Write-N-Cite you will be directed to the Penn Library proxy page to login rather than going directly to RefWorks.
