PowerPoint is presentation software that can be used to create slide
shows for printing, on-screen projection, or Web-based display. This site
is designed to help you with PowerPoint 2000 and 2002 (XP) by providing links to step-by-step
instructions on how to perform many of PowerPoint's most popular functions.
Use the navigation menu on the left to browse through the various PowerPoint
functions. If you are looking for something specific, make sure you check
out the site index, which contains all topics
covered in this site in alphabetical order.
You will probably find that there are PowerPoint features that are not
covered in this site. This is because it is nearly impossible to list
every single feature of any Microsoft program. We tried to cover the most
popular features of the program, as well as some functions that may be
particularly useful to health care professionals. If you cannot find what
you are looking for in this site, please check the other
PowerPoint sites section.
You may also find that you can do some things in a way different than
the one described here. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as you
are getting the desired results.
If you are using PowerPoint for Mac, you may find
that some of the instructions on this site do not apply. A good source for PowerPoint instructions
for Macintosh is the PowerPoint
for Mac online tutorial of the Educational Technology Development
Group at the University of Washington.
